Ontario Regulation 211/01 Propane Storage and Handling requires all propane retail outlets, filling plants, cardlock/keylock facilities, private outlets, or container refill centres to have a Risk and Safety Management Plans (RSMP) approved by the Technical Standards & Safety Authority (“TSSA”) prior to licencing.
Stirling Engineering provides full engineering services to ensure new propane storage and dispensing facilities meet all requirements under O.Reg 211/01, CSA B149.2, the Ontario Fire Code, the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, and other applicable requirements under local planning.
Dependent on the quantity of propane stored, a Level 1 or Level 2 RSMP may be required.
Stirling Engineering has developed approved RSMPs for more than 60 bulk propane storage facilities across Ontario. Stirling Engineering also provides the required professional engineering services for the annual review and updates of risk assessments, site plans, and emergency response and preparedness plans.
