In Ontario, only a Level 1 RSMP is required if the dispensing facility has a combined (fixed, mobile and portable) storage capacity of less than 5,000 USWG. The Level 1 RSMP does not require Fire Service approval.
The Emergency Response and Preparedness Plans prepared by Stirling Engineering for a Level 1 RSMP meet the applicable provisions of CSA Z731-03 Emergency Preparedness and Response as well as the Environmental Emergency (E2) Regulations under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act.
