Under the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations (TDGR), some dangerous goods that are transported in quantities greater than scheduled limits require an Emergency Response and Assistance Plan (ERAP) to be approved by Transport Canada. These plans will have training, equipment, resource, communication, testing and verification components. In many cases, the response can be contracted to approved third parties.
